Meet Our Story Tellers

WILLY APPELMAN is a comedian based in NYC. He is a member of Pipeline Theatre Company and recently performed in Pipeline’s Clown Bar (NY TImes Critics’ Pick). Willy is a 2-time Moth StorySLAM winner and has been featured on The Huffington Post, The Truth Podcast and The Ruckus. He performs improv weekly at The Magnet Theater and makes videos with applecomedy.com. After living in CA for 5 months, he now owns Mango colored corduroys. Twitter: @applecomedy

COLBY DAY is a Toobie-nominated playwright and filmmaker. ShowBusiness Weekly said his work is full of “grand insights into relationships and society, but it’s all done with jokes.” His writing can frequently be seen on Someecards.com, and he has appeared, out of focus, in the background, on both “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, and “The Daily Show”. CAITLIN GASPAR is an actor/director/lady writer/teacher/part time yogi who has recently fallen in love with the storytelling art form and community. She is currently working on a way to combine all of the above. Tonight, she turns twenty-five and feels lucky to get to spend it sharing stories with you. Thank you for your participation and congrats to Pipeline on another beautiful show!

JOLENTA GREENBERG is a New York-based performer and storyteller. She holds a BA in Performing Arts and Social Justice from the University of San Francisco and is a graduate of the Atlantic Theater Company’s conservatory program. Her storytelling has been featured at the PIT, and on Kevin Alison’s RISK! Podcast. She is a founding member of Crashbox Theater Company and you can hear her voice announcing funders on NY Public Radio from time to time.

GRIFFIN SHERBERT is a writer and musician in NYC. He is currently getting his Bachelor’s in Fiction Writing from The New School and vows to be published before he dies. Griffin is a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School’s conservatory program and is a founding member and co-artistic director of The Mythos Group. He has composed the score for Crashbox Theater Company’s production of Orange Flower Water, and co-composed for Pipeline’s production of The Ash Girl. Griffin plays over ten different instruments and performs regularly in the city. He has written and produced two short plays with The Mythos Group, Subjectivity and When We Grow, at the Producers’ Club and Roy Arias Studios.

NICOLE SPIEZIO is a proud member of Pipeline Theatre Company. Recently she and John Early co-created The Witchelor, which was featured in Ars Nova’s ANT Fest. She also made a comedy video called Housewife Sonata that was featured on “Anderson Cooper Live” and Jezebel.com. BFA NYU. @nicolespiez

ROBERT WEINSTEIN Born and raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan, Robert studied theater at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS; Ecole Jacque Lecoq in Paris, France; and Kiklos Teatro in Padova Italy. He’s currently pursuing a Library Science degree from Pratt Institute, is a frequent monologist for The Armando Diaz Experience at the Magnet Theater and can be heard telling a story about his grandmother on themoth.org.
