Over fifty ferociously imaginative emerging artists are working together to bring our world premiere of Folk Wandering roaring into reality. In advance of our first performance on February 23, we’ll be sharing interviews with each of these artists. Pipeline Theatre Company: What first attracted you to Folk Wandering? What made you want to work on this project?
Carolyn Mraz: I wanted to work on this because the people and songs are amazing, it seemed like good folks to wander with.

PTC: What aspect of the Folk Wandering story do you most relate to?
CM: I relate to the general aimlessness and confusion about….what will happen tomorrow.

PTC: If you were to write a tagline for Folk Wandering, what would it be?
CM: Something like: what’s next???

PTC: What big dreams have you been chasing recently (or would you like to chase)?
CM: Big dreams! oh geez…something about not getting distracted by the bullshit so I and we can focus on what really matters.

PTC: Two truths and a lie, go:
CM: I just ate my first pomelo fruit; I can’t whistle; I drive a stick shift.

PTC: What first attracted you to your particular theatre specialization?
CM: I was first interested in set design mostly because of peer pressure, my friends in high school worked backstage and I was in the pit orchestra, and then I decided to join them instead….it sorta worked out!
