Byuioo is a spiritual, haunting, and joyful story, but most importantly it is a story about beauty, about finding beauty in things you don’t understand. Pipeline is committed to finding innovative ways to provoke courage and compassion with the work we produce. We believe this story has the capacity to impact our audiences, to hit them in their hearts, brains, and guts in a more meaningful way than ever before. It is for this reason that we’ve chosen this moment to put our money where our mouth is.
We’re partnering with an incredible New York based nonprofit called Nomi Network. Nomi provides training and economic opportunities for survivors and women at risk of human trafficking by equipping them with skills to produce goods for the global market place. They currently have programs in Cambodia and India. On Wednesday, October 30 at 8PM, we’re dedicating our performance to Nomi and the women they help.
This special benefit performance will include an introduction by the Nomi community, a talk back with the cast and creative team of Byuioo, and a reception. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Nomi’s programs abroad. Tickets to Byuioo don’t go on sale until September 26, but we’ve put tickets on sale to our benefit performance early so you can begin supporting Nomi right now. We also encourage you to visit www.buyherbagnotherbody.com where you can purchase bags, t-shirts, wallets, and more designed and created by the women in Nomi’s programs.
If you can’t make it on October 30 but still want to celebrate this special event with us, you can make a tax-deductible donation directly on the ticketing page.
We hope you can join us for this very special night!
