Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself
Erika: I am from a small town twenty minutes away from San Francisco. Before attending the Atlantic Theater School my training was primarily classical having studied Brecht and Shakespeare with Center REP, Berkeley REP, and at the Interlochen Summer Arts Institute. I want to be a director for theater and film and am interested in the seamless use of edited video /multimedia in theater , so film and theater are cohesive, and a world of magical realism emerges. When I am not in school or writing, I enjoy reading and taking long aimless walks around the city. I think that a scoop of gelato can transform a person’s life.

Q: How did you first hear about Pipeline?
Erika: Through Atlantic [Acting School], Nicole Spezio [Pipeline’s General Manager] was my TA first year

Q: What made you want to do an internship with Pipeline?
Erika:  It was a feeling that Pipeline would be a place where I could function as a student and an artist in a productive and entertaining environment. I think when I want to work with a group or a specific person, I just know. Sometimes I know even before I have seen them perform or sat in on meetings or been introduced, there is just something that guides me. Now, I could list reasons why I like Pipeline, but what made me want to do an internship was just a feeling that something extraordinary is going on.

Q: What sort of things are you going to be working on with us?
Erika: i will be assisting with Film Production (i am a film production minor). I will also be helping crew CCC.
