Throughout the run of the show (until March 25!), we’ll be sharing interviews with each of these artists. These conversations will bring you inside this show’s very unique process of creation, and bring you a bit closer to this brilliant and wild group of emerging artists. Today, we are pleased to bring you a spotlight on our assistant stage manager, Anna Aschliman.

Pipeline Theatre Company: What first attracted you to Folk Wandering? What made you want to work on this project?
Anna Aschliman: I’ve worked with Andrew Neisler before and had heard him talking about the show, so when I got the opportunity to jump aboard, I took it!
PTC: What aspect of the Folk Wandering story do you most relate to?
AA: The unknown of what the future holds.
PTC: If you were to write a tagline for Folk Wandering, what would it be?
AA: Look at alllllll these props!
PTC: What first attracted you to stage management?
AA: I did crew in high school, and was given the opportunity at 17 to do a program at Northwestern where I stage managed a show for the first time, and fell in love.
PTC: What big dreams have you been chasing recently (or would you like to chase)?
AA: I want to visit every continent, and I want to scuba in a glacier in Antarctica.
PTC: Two truths and a lie, go:
AA: I was a debutante in Wisconsin, I was chased for a half mile by a duck in Germany after yelling “You are a duck” at it in German, I have been to every country in Scandinavia.
